FIRST PITCH&PUTT TOURNEMENT OF 2010

The Pitch&Putt Peralada started the season with the PRO-SHOP tournament the last sunday 14th february.

A great number of players defyied the intense cold that remained the all day and armed with their golf clubs competed for the victory in a icy round.

The Scratch winner of the competition was Luís Miguel Berenguel González “Brasi”. The victory in Hcp was for Joaquim Serra Puntí, in Senior was for Malcolm Bradshaw and the junior winner was Aleix Güell Oleart. We would like to emphazise that the four players belong to the Pitch&Putt Peralada Team.

The day finished with the prize ceremony and the raffle of gifts, where all the participants were given a present.

We would like to thank from here to all providers who has collaborated again in the competition and remember to all players that the closest tournament called WINE SPA Pitch&Putt Peralada will take place next Sunday 21st March.

ÓPTIMA GOLF CIRCUIT

A new edition of Óptima Circuit filled the golf course of players during the first weekend of February.

The competition started on Friday 5th. with the arrival of the first participants and followed up next Saturday and Sunday. The players could choose modality and play the competition in Individual Stableford or Fourball Stableford.

The winners on Hcp Clasification have been Daniel Alemany Serra and Jordi Cases Guarc, in Fourball modality, and José Miguel No García, in Individual.

FEMININE INTERCLUBS

The edition XXXVI of the Feminine Interclubs of Catalonia had the premiere on 27th January in the Golf Club Peralada.

As it was foreseen, the R.C.G. El Prat players marked again the difference and achieved the 8 points of the tournament. The following positions of the provisional classification registered a triple tie to 6 points among the C.G. Llavaneres, the C.G. Terramar and the R.C.G. Cerdaña.

PERALADA CHAMPIONSHIP GRAN PRIX

More than seventy players opened the calendar of competitions 2010 participating in the Peralada Championship - Gran Prox. The tornement, the first for the score ranking of the Catalan Golf Federation, concentrated the young best promises of the catalan golf.

In this edition the masculine winner was Marc García Pinto, who win the same tournement two years ago and his brother is the golf professional Jordi García Pinto. In the feminine section the winner was Cristina Felip Santamaría.

CHRISTMAS TOURNEMENT

Last 20th December, with Christmas Holidays approaching, was celebrated the already traditional Christmas Tournement where use to participate the most part of Golf Club Peralada members.

In this occasion 2009 was played the Greensome Medal Play modality where Marlon and René Veitlen brothers were proclaimed the final winners. They win a wonderful Christmas set.

ILTM 2009 FAIR

From 7th to 10th Desember was celebrated the 2009 edition of the International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) at the Congress Center of the french city of Cannes.

This year, the Hotel Peralada Wine Spa & Golf was present in it with a stand through the group Small Luxury Hotels of the World from which it forms part from last year 2008.

The ILTM is the most important tourism luxury fair worldwide, that turns it into an unavoidable appointment for the tourist and hotel sector of high level.

For four days, buyers and suppliers of luxury travels have the opportunity to establish relations for the development of new possibilities of business.

IGTM 2009 FAIR

From 17th. to 19th November took place the International Golf Travel Market (IGTM) 2009 in Málaga, the most important worldwide fair of the golf sector. The resort Hotel Peralada Wine Spa & Golf was present in it with an estand under the main brand of Tourism of Catalonia.

The IGTM is the first exhibition of the tourism golf sector that brings together for three days golf courses, tour operators, hotels and resorts, mass media and other members of the sector provinentes of more than 65 different countries.

It is a good opportunity for the specializing buyers and suppliers of products related to the golf world to present, discuss and define the trends of the sector as well as to develop new opportunities of business.

OPEN ENROLLMENT FOR THE I POKER AND SWING TOURNAMENT

Next 13th and 14th of November will take place in Peralada the I Poker & Swing Tournament organized by Grupo Gambito, Casino Peralada and Hotel Peralada Wine Spa & Golf.

During these two days of tournament, the players will have to join efforts to design the best strategies both in the golf course and in the card tables.

We hope will be exciting days of competition which will also be able to be combined by moments of relaxation and tranquility in the facilities of the Hotel Peralada, the official venue to accomodate the players and their companions.

The event will finish with a wonderful gala dinner celebrated in the emblematic environment of the Peralada's Castle to turn the competition into an unforgettable occasion.

II LACOST 4 NATIONS TOURNAMENT IN PERALADA

For the second consecutive year Peralada received during 26th and 27th of September the LACOSTE 4 NATIONS, a competition that faces the young players' promises of golf, in category Sub16 and 18, of Holland, Italy, France and Spain.

In this second edition the team of France was proclaimed the champion after an absolute domain over Holland in the first day, in which the Italian players also were superior to the Spanish.

The Spanish team, which in the first edition of the tournament ended in the first position, this year had to conform with the third place, preceded by the Italian team and followed by the Dutch team.

According to declarations of Tomás Carbonell, sports advisor of Lacoste, this year the level of the teams has risen very much and it has been possible to see a very top quality of game. He also emphasized that the perfect conditions of Peralada's course helped to test this great quality of the 32 participants, among whom there are international champions.

On Friday 25th, the day before the Lacost 4 Nations, was celebrated in the same Peralada's course a nice golf competition in which the team composed by Maribel Lopez Satrústegui, Tomàs Carbonell and Malcolm Bradshaw proclaimed champion.

The prize of this singular competition called "Friends of Lacoste and Peralada" consisted on giving to the winning team the equivalent of the weight of one of their components in bottles of cava from Cavas Castillo Perelada.

In this competition also participated the tennis players Alex Corretja and Alberto Berasategui, two good players of golf.
